IRA Gifts (QCD)
If you are 70½ or older, and you are looking for a way to support the work of Alliance Defending Freedom while also lowering your taxable income, you should consider an IRA charitable distribution. These are also referred to as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD).
Benefits of an IRA Gift (QCD)
- Avoid taxes on charitable distributions of up to $111,000 (for 2026) from your IRA
- Satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year
- Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
- Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
- Help further the work and mission of Alliance Defending Freedom

How an IRA gift (QCD) works
- Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA account.
- Your IRA funds will be directly transferred to Alliance Defending Freedom.
- Please note that IRA qualified charitable distributions reduce your taxable income; they do not qualify for a charitable deduction.
- You can expect to receive an acknowledgment letter around 7-10 business days after we process your gift. If you do not receive your acknowledgment letter, please contact us to make sure your gift was properly assigned.
