Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Are you looking for a way to benefit Alliance Defending Freedom both now and in the future? Would you like to simplify your annual and lifetime charitable giving? A donor advised fund (or DAF) might be a great solution for you.
What is a donor advised fund (DAF)?
A donor advised fund is a way to simplify your giving by making irrevocable gifts of cash, stock, or other assets to a charitable gift account. Then you initiate gifts from that account to the charities of your choice.
Benefits of using a donor advised fund
- Establish a flexible vehicle for annual charitable giving.
- Benefit from a more tax and cost efficient alternative to a private foundation.
- Segment your charitable funds from your other assets in a tax-advantaged way.
- Obtain a charitable income tax deduction in the year of your gift.
- The assets in your DAF grow tax-free.
- Most DAFs will accept assets beyond cash and securities, sometimes including real estate, cryptocurrency, business interests, or closely held stock. Utilize DAFs to donate more complex non-cash assets that your intended charitable recipient(s) cannot accept.
- Create a succession plan for your account. Designate the ministries you want as your beneficiaries.
